Consult KM International is a registered London-based consultancy with global outreach. Founded in 2021, it is a young organisation with a fresh outlook and a breadth of experience. Focused on the international development sector, we offer specialised high-quality services in knowledge management, report and proposal writing, communications, editing and proofreading, graphic design, storytelling and visuals, research and M&E, and facilitation and capacity building.

Our consultants are senior-, mid-, and junior-level professionals and practitioners who possess extensive knowledge and experience working globally with a large range of international development organisations and donor agencies including the UN, development banks, and national and international NGOs. Today, our pool of consultants comprises more than 65 consultants and contributors with different levels of seniority and diverse specialisations.

Nadhira NISRINA, Knowledge Management & Partnerships Specialist
Nadhira is an experienced knowledge management and partnerships professional with more than 9 years of experience in international development. Nadhira has supported international organisations such as Save the Children US and The Education and Training Foundation UK, as well as the Government of Indonesia, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Nadhira holds an MA in Governance, Development and Public Policy from the University of Sussex, UK. Nadhira is a mid-level consultant based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Lori REID, Knowledge Management Consultant
Lori has more than 15 years of experience in knowledge management and has supported multiple USAID projects, US-based and international organisations, including UN World Food Programme, Save the Children, Abt Associates, DAI, FHI 360, and many others. Lori is certified in Knowledge Management and holds an MA in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University, USA and a BA in International Affairs from James Madison University, USA. Lori is a senior-level consultant based in Washington, DC, USA.

Pamela HOBBS, Knowledge Management Consultant
Pamela is experienced in knowledge management, utilising intranets to build and nurture online communities, managing and developing publications, training development, and research. As a futurist, Pamela combines signals, research, imagination, and participatory practices to help organisations project and respond to potential future scenarios. Pamela has worked with development organisations such as Pact and holds an MA in Sustainable Development, International Policy, and Management from the School for International Training (SIT). Pamela is a senior-level consultant based near Washington, DC, USA.

Ilana BOTHA, Knowledge Management Consultant
Ilana has over 14 years of experience in knowledge management, content development, and communications. Ilana has worked with international development organisations including The Education and Training Foundation UK and Save the Children, as well as global consultancies such as PwC. Ilana holds an MPhil in Political Science from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Ilana is a senior-level consultant based in Spain.

Nikola TURIÈRE, Knowledge Management Consultant
Nikola has worked as a researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and supported senior-level KM specialists at UNDP Tunisia. Nikola is skilled in data collection, including conducting of interviews and focus groups, and implementation of knowledge management systems and practices. Nikola holds an MSc in Culture and Conflict in Global Europe from LSE. Nikola is a junior- to mid-level consultant based in Paris, France.

Daniel COHN, Programme Design & Proposal Development Specialist
Daniel has 18 years of experience as manager and technical advisor for programmes in global health, development, and gender equity, principally in sub-Saharan Africa. Daniel has worked with a variety of NGOs including DAI, FHI 360, IRC, and RTI International, and consulted for WHO, leading and guiding teams and partners in translating technical guidance into practice. Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and in International Relations from the Graduate Institute Geneva. Daniel is a senior-level consultant based in Washington, DC.

Eugenia MULE, Proposal Writer & M&E Specialist
Eugenia has over 9 years of experience in program design, proposal development, project management, and evaluation, and expertise in such areas as migration, socio-economic development, protection, youth, and livelihoods in conflict and post-conflict settings. Eugenia has worked with multiple NGOs and EU institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region, and on EU-funded projects such as DG NEAR, DG ECHO, and others. Eugenia has extensive management and operational experience at field level. Eugenia is a mid- to senior-level consultant based in Brussels, Belgium.

Nicola SIMPSON, Proposal Writer
Nicola has over 13 years of experience in proposal writing and grants management for humanitarian and international development NGOs including International Rescue Committee, Danish Refugee Council, Mercy Corps, CARE International and others. Nicola specialises in bid writing for institutional donors including ECHO, FCDO, USAID, and other governmental donors. She holds an MA in Philosophy and Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Glasgow. Nicola is a mid- to senior-level consultant based in the UK.

Christine CHUMBLER, Writer & Editor
Christine is a communications professional with nearly 30 years’ experience in writing, editing, and publications design. Christine is experienced in every stage of publication production, from concept and writing to editing, design, and printing. She has worked with a large range of international development organisations including Save the Children, DAI, and Chemonics, among others. Christine holds a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s in environmental studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Christine is a senior-level consultant based in Oregon, United States.

Miles LITVINOFF, Writer & Editor
Miles is a writer and editor with more than 30 years’ experience of international development, human rights and environmental sustainability. Author and editor of several books and numerous reports, Miles has worked with organisations including Amnesty International, Aqua for All, ARTICLE 19, CAFOD, the Center for Economic and Social Rights, Forest Peoples Programme, Friends of the Earth, GIZ (Germany’s international development agency), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the International Institute for Environment and Development, Publish What You Pay, and Transparency International. Miles is a senior-level consultant based near London, UK.

Carrie LUNT-BELL, Proofreader
Carrie has over 20 years of experience working as a trainer and project manager in community health and humanitarian programmes around the world, and 10 years working in communications and PR. Carrie has worked with multiple local NGOs as well as international organisations such as DFID, World Vision, UNDP, and UNHCR. Carrie holds an MSc in International Humanitarian Affairs from York University, UK, and is a trained proofreader with the Chartered Institute of Editing & Proofreading. Carrie is a senior-level consultant based in Bahrain. 

Alona ZINCHENKO, Lead Graphic Designer
Alona is a graphic design specialist with more than 9 years of experience in developing layout and design for all types of printed and digital publications including reports, brochures, catalogues, presentations and other visual products. Alona is highly skilled in data visualisation and the development of high-level infographics and illustrations, and has supported international development organisations such as the IFRC, UNICEF, UNOPS, WWF, Chemonics, USAID, and others. Alona is certified in Graphic Design and is a mid-level consultant based in London, UK.

Kelley LYNCH, Creative Director & Visual Storyteller
Kelley is a humanitarian storyteller, writer, photographer, and designer with over
20 years’ experience identifying, capturing and bringing to life uniquely beautiful and engaging stories, publications, photos and videos. Kelley has lived and worked in more than 30 countries across Africa and Asia, supporting multiple development organisations and donor agencies, including USAID, Global Partnership for Education (GPE), the World Bank, Save the Children, CARE, World Vision, and more. Kelley is a senior-level consultant based in Washington, DC, USA.

Karel PRINSLOO, Photographer
Karel is an award winning photographer with nearly 30 years of experience in covering humanitarian work across Africa and the Middle East. Previously based in Nairobi, Karel served as the Associated Press’s Chief Photographer for East Africa and throughout his career supported numerous development organisations such as UNICEF, WFP, FAO, MSF, and more. Karel was awarded the South African Photographer of the Year in 2000 and his work has been published in the world’s major publications, including the New York Times and Time magazine, among others. Karel is a senior-level consultant based in Paris, France.

Salman SAEED, Videographer
Salman has more than 13 years of experience in videography, having supported a large number of development organisations such as UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Oxfam, USAids, and IOM, as well as news agencies, including BBC News, CNN, The Economist, Global Citizen, and The Guardian, among others. Salman is highly skilled in field production and filming, video editing, live production/breaking news, documentary, cinematography and photography. Salman is a mid- to senior-level consultant based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Benedict ODHIAMBO OTIENO, Photographer & Videographer
Benedict is an experienced photographer and videographer with passion for multimedia and content creation. He has supported multiple international development organisations including UN Habitat, UNHCR, Oxfam, and others. Benedict has covered major events such as the World Urban Forum, World Habitat Day, and World Refugee Day, and filmed at the Kakuma and Kalobeyei refugee camps. Outside of Kenya, he has worked in Uganda, Ghana, Botswana, and Ethiopia. Benedict holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalist and Digital Media from KCA University and a Diploma in Social Communication. Benedict is a mid-level consultant based in Kenya.

Leila MAROUANE, Communications Consultant
Leila has more than 7 years of experience in communications, external relations, media, and digital marketing. She is skilled in strategic communications, content development, media monitoring, and more, has supported international development organisations including WHO, International Centre for Migration Policy Development, and Internews across the MENA Region and Europe, projects funded by USAID, EU, GIZ, and JICA, governmental entities, and others. Leila holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Tunis, Tunisia. Leila is a mid-level consultant based in Tunisia.

Ananya ASAD, Research & Evaluations Specialist
Ananya is an intersectional development professional with more than 10 years of experience in research, evaluations, data analysis, capacity building, and more. Ananya has supported multiple development organisations across South Asia, Eastern Africa and the Caribbean, among which Plan International, Marie Stopes Reproductive Choice, ActionAid, Pathfinder International, and others. Ananya holds an MSc in Research Methodology from Université Libre de Bruxelles, and MSc in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp. Ananya is a mid- to senior-level consultant based between Brussels, Belgium and Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Joelle PETRUS, Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Joelle has more than 17 years of experience in the international development sector, designing M&E methodologies, managing M&E systems, conducting field research, and helping bring M&E ‘real time’ and operationally-minded approach. Joelle has supported a large range of development and donor agencies, including USAID, FCDO, European Commission, The World Bank, IOM, UNDP, ECHO, The Gates Foundation, and more. Joelle holds a Master’s degree in Migration and Refugee Studies from the American University of Cairo. Joelle is a senior-level consultant based in Washington, DC.

Caroline WANJIRU, Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Caroline has over 13 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, learning and adaptation for humanitarian and development programmes. Caroline has designed and implemented M&E methodologies and systems for a variety of national and international development and donor agencies including FCDO, USAID, UN women, IDRC, IDS UK, and VSO International. Caroline holds an MSc in Development Evaluation from the University of Antwerp, Belgium and an MA in Development Studies from the University of Nairobi. Caroline is a senior-level consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Cristian MANEIRO, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Cristian has over 12 years of experience conducting and commissioning evaluations for UN agencies including UNICEF, UNFPA, and WFP, and international organisations such as Maestral International, PLAN Eval, and SOS Children’s Villages. Cristian has extensive regional experience in Latin America and Africa. Cristian holds a post-graduate diploma in Public Policy & Evaluation from the Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results, Mexico, and an MA in Sociology from Universidade Federal de Paraná, Brazil. Cristian is a mid- to senior-level consultant based in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Contributors

Our contributors include senior-level development practitioners and subject matter experts in a variety of areas, including gender and gender-based violence (GBV), public health, child protection, youth, livelihoods, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), migration, environment, climate change, and many others. The contributors are engaged on upon-the-need basis as part of internal quality controls, ensuring accuracy with regard to sector- and subject-specific language and terminology, technicalities and trends.
